I've been using one of these trivets for years. As my main one has gotten a bit grubby from years of use - I let a few spills set rather than sponging them out immediately - I wanted a presentable one for when visitors come over. The new one is gorgeous and just as robust as the original. The original is still going strong after a bit of TLC with a soapy clothe, and will continue to be my everyday trivet in the line of splashes and spills. Nice to have a shiny new one for best though.

The coasters are so cute and are going to work so well for our now virtual conference for postgraduate students at our university. We're sending the coasters with R U Ok teabags and your felt whales (and other marine animals) so that if someone has a question at the end of conference paper they can put up their finger puppet and some cheer can be introduced to this awkward situation of COVID and online conferences. We got the whales because our conference is called Emerge 2020.
