Ethical Jewellery Guide
What styles of jewellery do you have?
- Modern Tibetan jewellery: earrings, rings and malas inspired by traditional Tibetan designs.
- Samunnat jewellery: colourful, Fairtrade polymer clay earrings, necklaces and bracelets, handmade in Kathmandu.
- Hand-beaded jewellery: glass bead earrings and our rolling beaded bracelets.
- Silver + brass earrings: statement earrings, handmade in Nepal.
What is a mala?
A mala is a string of prayer beads, traditionally 108, used in Buddhist and Hindu practice to count mantras during meditation. You can wear ours as a necklace or wrap it as a bracelet. We make them from rudraksha seeds, lotus seeds, lava beads, jade and carnelian. See our Tibetan prayer malas.
Who makes your jewellery?
Every piece is handmade in Nepal by small workshops and artisan groups we’ve worked with for years. Our Samunnat range is made by a Fairtrade women’s group in far eastern Nepal.
Does jewellery make a good gift?
