Our pinafore dresses are relaxed, A-line and made for layering: over a tee in summer, or a long sleeve top and tights in winter. Most have adjustable straps so you can choose your length, plus deep pockets and natural coconut buttons. Choose from cotton, loomed cotton, patchwork prints and corduroy, all designed in Australia and ethically made in Nepal.

What is a pinafore dress?
A pinafore is a sleeveless dress with a bib front and shoulder straps, designed to be worn over a top. You might also know it as a dungaree dress or overall dress. They’re the same family, with slightly different bibs and lengths. Ours are cut relaxed and A-line, so there’s plenty of room for layers underneath.
Which pinafore should I choose?
- Ayla Pinafore: our everyday classic, with a square bib, 5 pockets and adjustable straps. Sizes S–XXL.
- Dungaree Dress: a rounded bib and a flattering A-line, in 7 colours.
- Overall Maxi Dress: full length in breathable slub cotton, with 5 pockets.
- Sirena Pinafore: an extra-relaxed slip-on style in woven cotton, with a frayed hem.
- Asher Pinafore: bold patchwork prints with side splits for easy movement.
- Corduroy Pinafore: warmer cotton corduroy with easy side buttons.
- Velvet Pinafore: soft organic velvet with wide sleeves, for winter layering.
Can I adjust the length?
Yes. The Ayla, Dungaree Dress, Asher, Corduroy and Overall Maxi all have adjustable shoulder straps with coconut buttons. Shorten the straps to raise the hem, or let them out for a longer drop.
How do I wear a pinafore in summer and winter?
In warmer months, wear it over a singlet or tee with sandals. When it cools down, layer a long sleeve top, tights and boots underneath. Our medium-weight cotton works year-round in most of Australia, while corduroy and velvet are made for winter.
What fabrics are your pinafores made from?
We use loomed cotton, slub cotton, cotton corduroy and organic velvet. Every piece is coloured with low-impact dyes and ethically made in Nepal by our long-term partners.
