Our 100% cotton 'Valentina' Dress is a medium weight, relaxed fitting dress with oodles of comfort factor. Featuring coconut buttons running the length of the piece and a pocket on each hip, our Valentina dress is both wonderfully flattering and practical. This beautiful dress is reminiscent of the 1950's and you can dress it up for evening wear or down for smart casual day wear.

COTTON + ORGANIC COTTON CLOTHING
All our pieces are crafted using low impact dyes. While this is wonderful for our planet and our bodies, it does mean a little extra care is required to keep your garment in A1 condition, which ultimately means longer lasting.
WASH: Separately in the beginning, or with other 'like' colours. You will see a little colour bleeding out in these earlier washes, so take care to avoid washing with lighter pieces. No need to add salt - all our pieces have been pre-washed in hot water already. The mordants in low impact dyes are not as chemically rich as regular dyes though, so they don't 'fix' the same way.
DRY: In the shade always. Our low impact dyes will fade much faster if left in the sun.
DO NOT: Wash in hot water - this will ensure the colour bleeds much more than it should, and your piece will fade faster.
We offer a simple love it or return it guarantee on all full priced items within 30 days of your order being placed. If for whatever reason you don't LOVE it, simply send it back to us for a refund, store credit or exchange. Please contact us first and ensure the items/s are in original condition, and are back in the post to us within the 30 day period.

The dress fits perfectly and is very comfortable. I love it
I absolutely love the clothes I’m getting from Surya - I get so many comments and compliments, people wanting to know where I get them from. I wanted to love the Valentina dress, it’s a wonderful cut, perfect for womanly hips. I’m also quite big busted so this dress, even in the XL is tight and gaping (I checked the measurements before buying) but alas I appreciate not everyone has big bewbs like me. On sale I’ll be keeping them and getting out the sewing machine or buying a minimiser bra! Bust aside, this dress is a PERFECT fit and cut.

The dress fits perfectly (true to size after washing), drapes beautifully and feels soft and comfortable against my skin. I feel elegant wearing it!
The dress is gorgeous. The material is lovely.
But the arm holes are too small/tight and it’s a little tight across the bust.
I am normally a roomy size 18 but the XL is a tad too small.
I did double check my measurements and they were a few centimetres smaller than the maximum.
